Wine vs. Beer

I have been planning on writing an article along these lines. While looking for inspiration I came across this article at Food and Wine

Inspired by the book He Said Beer, She Said Wine, F&W invited authors Sam Calagione, the founder of Delaware’s Dogfish Head brewery, and Marnie Old, a wine educator, to a taste-off. The challenge: Who could come up with the superior pairing for the recipes here?

Inspired is a very good word for some of the pairings suggested in the article.

  1. Chuck Says:

    Red White.

He did, however, pick the Palo Santo Marron, which I suppose can’t be called a rarity any more, since it’s moving into full-time production. They even have a movie on it. (It’s excellent, BTW, and brown ales usually don’t do much for me.)

Victory Prima Pils is delicious. Hot dogs with coleslaw are delicious. This strikes me as something I have to try this weekend.

Kind of surprised the Dogfish Head guy didn’t go with some of their rarities and one-offs, like the Red & White.

Who knew you were an even bigger beer geek than I am, Chuck? Very impressive!
