Win Tickets to San Francisco Zinfandel Festival, Jan 31 – Feb 2

UPDATE: Friday, January 25 is the last day to enter to win tickets to the San Francisco Zinfandel Wine Festival. Make sure you enter to win a pair of tickets to wine tastings and food pairings at this awesome event January 31 to Feb 2.

There’s a guy who makes wine he calls Bedrock
But he didn’t go into it half-cocked.
He was raised in a cellar,
what a cute little fellar,
Some might say he’s a Chip Off the Old Block.

Bless me Morgan, for I have Zinned. It has been two days since my last Bedrock.

We have this running joke with our friend Thea. We taunt her by telling her we are drinking wine from Bedrock Wine Company, she tells us she is going to come to Houston and drink it all. It has yet to work because we have visited her multiple times. Even brought a bottle with us last time we visited. And she has not visited us in Houston.

Now granted, she is much closer to the source of Bedrock Wine Company, and many other fabulous wines. But we taunt her nonetheless. So since she won’t come to us, we must go to her.

So once again, I am heading to California to visit Thea , and no doubt share some Bedrock.

But it’s not just Bedrock Zinfandel we will be drinking. Ravenswood, Seghesio, Ridge Vineyards, The Prisoner, Talty Vineyards to name just a few. Just LOOK at this LIST of participating wineries!

Hard to believe it, since he is an unabashed zinner! But Joe must stay home and bowl in a charity tournament and I am off to attend the Zinfandel Advocates & Producers’ 22nd Annual Zinfandel Festival in San Francisco with Thea! You can win tickets to the events. Read on to find out how!

Just What is ZAP?

Now exactly who are the Association of Zinfandel Advocates & Producers? What is this festival they are having, and how can I attend you ask? (Of course you’re asking, it’s ZINFANDEL!)

The Association of Zinfandel Advocates & Producers, ZAP for short, is a not-for-profit, member-based, educational 501(c)(3) organization. Their mission is to advance public knowledge of and appreciation for American Zinfandel and its unique place in our culture and history. Members include winegrowers, winemakers and wine enthusiasts whose focus is on the preservation and recognition of Zinfandel as America’s heritage wine. ZAP’s membership includes approximately 250 winery-members, 4,000 advocate members and 100 associate members.

Part of ZAP’s ongoing program focused on outreach and promotion of Zinfandel as America’s Heritage Wine, the Festival is an opportunity for Zinfandel producers to introduce their wines to a wide base of consumers, media, and members of the wine trade.
