California Cabernet Sauvignon from Small Lot Bottlings

It’s TasteLive! Tuesday: Small Lot California Cabernet Sauvignons

The Detroit Lions are 5-0! To help celebrate another BIG WIN, we’re joining the TasteLive! panel to taste some Big Red Wines!

After a late Summer hiatus, TasteLive! Tuesdays are back! Join us and this week’s wine-loving panel at 8 p.m. Central (9 p.m. Eastern, 6 p.m. Pacific) as we taste through some small lot Cabernet Sauvignon offerings from the north coast of California.

California Cabernet Sauvignon from Small Lot Bottlings

The panel will be tasting wines, featured above, which include

Rodney Strong Vineyards, 2008 Alexander’s Crown Cabernet Sauvignon, Alexander Valley ($75)

Wente Vineyards, The Nth Degree, 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon, Livermore Valley, San Francisco Bay ($60)

Chateau Felice. 2007 La Craie, American Celebration, Chalk Hill ($50)

Krutz Family Cellars, 2007 Stagecoach Vineyards, Napa Valley ($75)

These are very limited bottlings, so we’re excited to be tasting and pairing them with some of Joe’s tasty culinary creations. Two come from the micro-wineries of Krutz Family Cellars and Chateau Felice; and two from a pair of larger wineries that have very successful small lot programs — Rodney Strong Vineyards and Wente Vineyards. We’ve tasted wines from Krutz Family Cellars and Rodney Strong Vineyards in previous panels so we can expect good things. Chateau Felice and Wente Vineyards will be a new experience.
