An annual celebration produced by Joel Quigley and Cailyn McCauley of Creative Furnace (and TasteLive!), the festival brings together “all that is hot in the world of culinary entertainment” combining fine wine tasting, gourmet street food, a Best Bites Invitational Competition, live music from the main stage, FUSE’s DJ lounge and TasteLive! Streaming.
That’s where we come in! We’ll be tasting wines along with our fellow bloggers, Thea the Winebratsf of LusciousLushes and Jason Mancebo of 20dollarwine, live from the venue. Thea tells me she and Jason are the celebrity wine blogger hosts — I think she really means infamous! Other bloggers participating virtually will include @DanGod1, Sonadora, Pam from Enobytes, Matt from A Good Time with Wine , @amybcleary, @vintwined, Frank from Drink What You Like, and Katie from Gonzo Gastronomy.
A portion of the day’s proceeds benefit Worth Our Weight, a non-profit organization that apprentices young people age 16 to 24 who have faced major challenges in their lives. The festival’s Responsible Hospitality Sponsor is Whole Foods Santa Rosa, providing complimentary water for all guests, and non-alcoholic beverages for designated drivers.
Ziggy, The Wine Gal – Wine Radio Personality, Writer, Wine Judge & Sommelier to the Rockstars, Ziggy Eschliman, will act as the festival’s Mistress of Ceremonies from the KRSH 95.9 FM stage. Alan Kropf, editor-in-chief of Mutineer magazine, will be there taping for a special edition of Beverage Late Night.
The theme for the event will be “Eat the Clock” – Man cooks 5 wine-paired “surreal” meals in 30 minutes with 2 butane burners, 2 toaster ovens and a Barbie. (And I don’t think he means the one with the freakish bust-waist-whips proportions) Bob Blumer aka Surreal Gourmet hosting the TasteLive.com streaming broadcast sponsored in part by CellarPass.com.
