Great Wine Made Simple: Straight Talk from a Master Sommelier
Andrea Robinson (nee: Immer) is one of the best writers on food and wine on the planet. Her books and DVDs will open up worlds of wine you have never imagined. She makes learning about wine simple and fun.
Everyday Dining with Wine
Another very good book from Andrea Robinson. In case you can’t tell, she is one of my favorite wine experts. Mario Batali probably described this book best when he said, ““Matching a meal with that perfect wine can elevate an everyday dinner to a four-star experience. Not many can break down the complex language and intricate details of wine. Andrea has, once again, succeeded in doing so, with elegance, style, and grace.”
Windows on the World Complete Wine Course: 2008
This classic is the best-selling wine book ever in North America for a reason. It is well written, thorough, easily understood, and most importantly, a lot of fun to read. Highly recommended!

Anthony Bourdain’s “Les Halles” Cookbook
The bad boy of the culinary world, Anthony Bourdain, brings you a cookbook with more attitude than a hungover New York cabbie. This is cookbook for people who already know their way around a kitchen to some degree, but it is a book for anyone who loves attitude, laughs and great food. This is, far and away, my favorite cookbook.
