Welcome

In what might be a bad omen, or just an ironic twist, I am currently writing my first blog post about the subject of wine while I am in the grips of a nasty cold and probably couldn’t tell the difference between a glass of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and a glass of MD20/20. Let us all hope that the previous run-on sentence is also not an omen of any kind.

This page is not the work of a wine expert. Chances are, if you are reading this, I am a lot like you. I am passionate about wine, I love wine, and I spend an inordinate amount of time talking about it, reading about it, shopping for it, and above all, drinking it. And that is what this blog will be about. If I hear news, I will post it. Trying something new? You will get my tasting notes. Basically, anything that I can share about wine will appear here with as little snobbery and pretense as possible.

Whether you are a wine expert or a novice, I hope you enjoy reading my ramblings, come back often, and contribute with your comments. Together maybe we can all build something to further our shared passion.
