Bubbles for every day, all day?

How can you not love an article that proposes drinking sparkling wine with every meal of the day? I think that I’ll pass on the champagne cocktail suggestions, but the rest of this is great. This style of wine really needs to be considered more often with all types of foods. They can be purchased in all price ranges and styles.

Like Madame Lilly Bollinger, the late matriarch of the Bollinger champagne house, Kearney believes that sparkling wines can, and should, be drunk at any time of day.

“The trick with morning is to start with something soft and gentle,” Kearney says. “We’ll save complexity for the evening when we have time to think about it.”

She suggests a Muscat-based sparkling wine such as Moscato d’Asti to go with waffles or crepes: “It’s so beautifully soft and fruity.”

   You have some great quotes, I read the Andre quote in Sandra Jordan’s book on Decanting it was while tasting a 1797 Chateau Lafite with Michael Broadbent the head wine buyer for Christie’s of London

   If we take the axiom that our good friend Darryl quoted us, “Anything you would eat with beer, you can eat with champagne” and reversed it…then, with regards to this article…I’m having beer with breakfast!! And isn’t that where we want to end up?
   I’m going to pop open a bottle of bubbly for breakfast when my wife gets back into town and bask in the quizzical, if not “are you serious?” gaze she gives me. It’s worth the price of admission.
   Do people sit around drinking champagne all day? Where do I sign up?
