This Week in Beer: Craft Beer Festivals in Madison and San Francisco!

Craft and artisan beer lovers can celebrate ales, lagers, stouts, porters and more this week in Madison, Wisconsin and San Francisco, California.

Going on now is the 5th Annual Madison Craft Beer Week (MCBW) with special events like tap takeovers, special releases, Cinco de Mayo parties and Brewer Meet and Greets all over Madison. The 32nd annual San Francisco International Beer Festival (SFIBF or BeeFest) takes place on Saturday, May 9th at the Fort Mason Center Festival Pavilion.

Over 100 different Greater Madison area restaurants, pubs and breweries will host more than 380 events as part of this year’s Madison Craft Beer Week.

MCBW continues with events each day through Sunday with Mother’s Day specials, Breast Cancer Fundraisers and a 4th Annual Beer Breakfast as well as a Brewery Brunch, to name a few. On tap tomorrow at Brasserie V is the 3rd Annual New World vs Old Word beer tasting with Perennial Artisan Ales vs Merchant du Vin Imports with a free shuttle from 7:00 p.m. to midnight courtesy of Hop Head Beer Tours.
