Handwritten Wines’ StoryTellers Series presents John Lescroart on Saturday, June 21st

Napa Valley’s Handwritten Wines of St. Helena welcomes back New York Times bestselling author John Lescroart to its ongoing StoryTellers Series this Saturday, June 21st from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.

compositeThe evening will celebrate the release of Lescroart’s latest novel, The Keeper, the newest of the author’s San Francisco-based Dismas Hardy legal thriller series. Ten percent of the evening’s wine sales will go to support the Napa County Library Literacy Center, which provides free tutoring for adults who need help with reading and writing. They also have on-site ESL classes and tutoring at three Migrant Farm Worker Housing units in the Napa Valley.

Handwritten is all about enriching lives through wine and the literary arts,” says Judd Wallenbrock, General Manager of Handwritten Wines. “We also believe in giving back to the community, so for us, what could be more relevant than supporting the Napa County Library Literacy Center and its project to educate farmworkers.”

Handwritten Wines was a dream that began years ago to craft wines from the finest fruit of the Napa Valley. We dreamt of returning to a simpler time when artisans crafted and nurtured their wines without the pressure of a release date. - Founders Dan and Becky Blue, Roy and Cheri Eisiminger and Vance and Jana Thompson
Hosted by proprietors Dan and Becky Blue, the evening at Handwritten’s Cottage in St. Helena will feature the winery’s sub-appellation district wines, delicious bites, and the opportunity to break bread with Lescroart (pronounced “Less-kwah”). Volunteer tutors and their learners from the Napa County Library Literacy Center will also share their stories of success.

Sister winery to Jessup Cellars, the incredible wines we tasted back in San Francisco early last year, Handwritten Wines produces micro-lot handcrafted Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Bordeaux blends, along with a classic Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon by renowned winemaker Robert Lloyd. Priced from $45 to $125, all wines are available direct to consumer by allocation only.

The cottage, located at 1010 Main Street in Saint Helena, California, is open by appointment only, seven days a week, between 10:00am and 5:00pm. To book a sit down hosted tasting, contact Erin Maxwell at (707) 968-0100, or email her at erin@handwrittenwines.com or visit www.HandwrittenWines.com.
