This 2011 Faust Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon sports a big berry jam, cocoa powder and a barely discernible hint of green pepper on the nose. This is a BIG, BOLD — but not over-powering — Cabernet Sauvignon that works well by itself and even better with a juicy rib-eye and green beans topped with bacon and vinegar-drenched onions.

Subtle tannins. A blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot, 1% Malbec and 1% Cabernet Franc, and labeled 14.2% Alcohol by volume. Drinkable now but easily cellarable for a few years…

If your will-power allows.

Ours did not. No need to sell your soul, the wine is priced at $49.99.
